Capetown

Capetown

The bottom of Africa, the top of the world. Capetown is an amazing and vibrant city. Part of its intrigue is that it's positioned in a truly beautiful part of the world.

While in Capetown we stayed in an airstream camper positioned on the roof of a hotel, and at a great little boutique hotel in ___ called ____.

When traveling to any far away destination you often wonder if any of the "touristy" things are actually worth it. In our case, deciding to ask a guide to take us to the Cape of Good Hope was a great idea (shout out to Joe!). Along the way we say amazing scenery, seals, ostriches, biting penguins, and more.

It was insanely windy when we visited the African beach penguins. I felt bad for them - with sand blowing in their faces all day long!

Cape of Good Hope is more or less the most southern point in Africa. The guy in the pink shirt stood in this position for probably 35 minutes!

For those of you wondering if you should go on a safari while in Capetown, I say go for it. While it's likely not as impressive as other safaris near Johannesburg, if you don't plan on coming back to Africa for a little while, it's really fun and memorable.

The reason for the season was to go to our friend's wedding in Wellington! We stayed at a great Airbnb called ___.

It's hard to beat Table Mountain. Make sure you have time to go - the cable cars leading up to the top don't run when it's windy outside. In Capetown, it's windy pretty often!
